Creighton’s Jamiya Neal scored a career-high 24 points to lead his team to a 68-63 victory over UConn, ending the Huskies’ 28-game home winning streak in Storrs. Aside from Neal, Creighton’s Ryan Kalkbrenner had 16 points and Steven Ashworth added 12. UConn’s Hassan Diarra and Solo Ball each had 15 points.
Creighton made a comeback in the second half, with Alex Karaban contributing to a strong start for the Huskies. However, Creighton responded with dunks and a series of 3-pointers to take the lead. The Bluejays controlled the game in the second half, ultimately securing the win.
