East Haven Woman Dies in I-91 Crash
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A tragic accident on Interstate 91 claimed the life of 33-year-old Andrea Baquero from East Haven on Tuesday morning. State police reported that the crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Exit 10.
According to authorities, Baquero was driving in the left lane when her vehicle veered suddenly across all three lanes, eventually leaving the highway and crashing into a tree. Emergency responders transported Baquero to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
In the aftermath of the accident, the northbound side of I-91 was closed for several hours, causing significant traffic delays. However, the highway has since reopened to normal traffic.
