Bangladeshi cricketer Tamim returns home following heart attack | Cricket News

Former Bangladeshi cricket captain Tamim Iqbal has been discharged from the hospital after suffering a massive heart attack during a local match. The 36-year-old was leading Mohammedan Sporting Club when he was rushed to the hospital complaining of chest pain. Doctors inserted stents to repair an arterial blockage and he was later moved to a bigger health facility in Dhaka. Doctors have advised him to maintain a rehabilitation program and modify his lifestyle.

Abu Zafar of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare stated that Tamim won’t be able to play sports for the next three months due to his condition and advised him to stay away from smoking. Tamim, who scored more than 15,000 runs for Bangladesh in his 15-year international career, including appearances at several World Cups, is the only Bangladeshi to score hundreds in all formats of international cricket.

Despite uncertainties about his return to cricket, doctors remain hopeful that Tamim will be able to make a comeback to the sport. Fans are relieved that the cricket star is now back home and wish him a speedy recovery. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and taking care of one’s health, especially for athletes.
