A suspect is in custody after causing havoc on the roads in East Hartford. The incident started when the suspect hit a police cruiser and then fled the scene, ultimately getting into another crash while trying to enter Interstate 91. The East Hartford police, as well as state troopers, responded to the scene. The second crash was a rollover on the I-91 North ramp from Interstate 84 West. One person was taken into custody in connection with the initial crash. Fortunately, the suspect only sustained minor injuries while the officer involved in the initial crash appears to be fine. The East Hartford police have not released the identity of the suspect or the charges they will be facing. This incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of reckless driving and the importance of following traffic laws to ensure the safety of everyone on the road.
