Zelensky has criticized some of Putin’s conditions for a broader cease-fire, viewing them as stalling tactics to strengthen Russia’s position on the field.
Ukraine had previously agreed to a 30-day unconditional cease-fire proposed during talks in Saudi Arabia, which aimed to bring a temporary halt to hostilities across land, air, and sea. Zelensky emphasized the importance of negotiations for a longer-term peace during this period.
Despite the discussions and proposals, Zelensky believes Russia is not ready to end the war and is continuing to impose additional conditions.
