Graduate student Eliza Bowman from Darien, Connecticut, has been named the BIG EAST Attacker of the Week after scoring a program-record tying 8 goals in a single game for the University of Connecticut women’s lacrosse team. In their recent match against UMass, Bowman led the Huskies to a 19-16 victory with her impressive offensive performance.
Bowman’s achievement equals the record set by Grace Nolan in 2018 and two other UConn players in recent years. She currently leads the team with a total of 20 goals this season. The 23rd ranked Huskies are set to face the University at Albany on Saturday at 1:00pm, with the game being broadcasted on ESPN+.
