Vernon driver pulled from flipped vehicle after accident


Vernon, Conn. – A single-vehicle rollover accident resulted in non-life-threatening injuries on Sunday afternoon in Vernon. The incident occurred on Bolton Road, where firefighters from the Town of Vernon Fire Department found a car flipped on its side with the driver trapped inside. Using a handheld glass saw, the firefighters were able to cut open the vehicle’s windshield and safely remove the driver using a scoop board. The driver, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was then taken to a local hospital for treatment.
