The UConn softball team is gearing up for the Chanticleer Classic at Coastal Carolina this weekend, where they will face off against Wisconsin, Bowling Green, and the host school twice. Coming off a successful weekend at the Mercer Softball Invitational, the Huskies have been showing strength both at the plate and on the mound. Freshman Cat Petteys leads the team with a .432 batting average, while graduate student Payton Kinney has not given up an earned run in her 16 innings pitched.

UConn has yet to beat Wisconsin and Coastal Carolina, but they hold a 3-1 record against Bowling Green.
