A man in Killingly, Michael Mancini, 51, has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting two 15-year-old boys who were friends with his son. Connecticut State Police revealed that the abuse had been ongoing since 2023. Mancini is also under investigation for other alleged sexual encounters with teens in Ledyard and Brooklyn.
One of the victims attempted to harm himself due to the assaults, according to his stepmother. The warrant states that Mancini bought the boy gifts and would give him money during their encounters. Text messages revealed that the boy was scared to say no to Mancini.
Mancini faces charges of sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. He was held on a $700,000 bond and appeared in court on Wednesday. The investigation is ongoing, with additional victims possibly coming forward.
