Western Connecticut State University (WestConn) is offering two new Master of Music programs for students – one in Music Education and one in Jazz Pedagogy. These programs are designed to help current K-12 music educators maintain certification and advance their careers, as well as provide performers and music educators the opportunity to expand their expertise in performing, researching, and teaching jazz.
According to a press release, the M.M. programs will start in the fall of 2025. The music education concentration is aimed at professionals looking to enhance their skills in the field, while the jazz pedagogy concentration is suitable for those interested in deepening their knowledge of jazz music.
These programs will provide students with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in their careers and make a positive impact in the field of music education.
