The small town of Salem is rallying together to support the family of Casey Crafton, a beloved community member who tragically lost his life in a plane crash at Reagan National Airport in January. Crafton was known for his involvement in little league and soccer coaching as well as being on the town’s recreation commission.
Local businesses, including Two Brothers Pizza, are coming together to organize a pasta fundraiser on March 8 at the Gardner Lake Volunteer Fire Department. The event will feature a spaghetti meal with all proceeds going to the Crafton family.
Salem Fire Department Chief Alex Blais described Crafton as a stand-up guy who cared deeply about the community and the children. The tight-knit town of Salem is showing their solidarity by organizing various fundraisers and events to support the Crafton family during this difficult time. The community hopes to demonstrate to the Craftons how much Casey’s life touched the town and how they are there to support them through this tragedy.
