Silk City Coffee in Manchester and Story and Soil Coffee in Hartford were recently recognized among the best 100 coffee shops in the world by “The World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops” website. The list allows the public to submit their favorite coffee spots globally.
Tammy Gerhard, co-owner of Silk City, was thrilled by the news, stating that being ranked 67 was a great honor. Similarly, Story and Soil Coffee in Hartford made the list at number 88.
The rankings are based on various factors such as the quality of coffee, barista expertise, customer service, innovation, ambience, sustainability practices, food and pastry quality, and consistency.
Out of the 100 coffee shops listed, only 14 are from the United States, with Silk City and Story and Soil being among the two represented from their region. Gerhard sees the recognition as an opportunity to bring more community to the area and further the movement of creating a unique coffee experience.
The process for selecting the best coffee shops involves public submissions, voting, and final selections to make the prestigious list.
