Former NBA star Nate Robinson recently underwent a kidney transplant nearly 20 years after being diagnosed with kidney disease. In an Instagram post on Feb. 7, Robinson shared that he was scheduled to have the procedure that day and thanked the Lord for the opportunity. Following the successful surgery, his mother provided an update on his health, stating that he was recovering in the hospital.
Robinson had been battling kidney disease since 2006 and revealed publicly in 2022 that he was undergoing treatment for renal kidney failure for four years. Despite facing challenges with his health, Robinson remained positive and received an outpouring of support from friends and fans leading up to his surgery and during his recovery.
In a previous interview with Men’s Health magazine, Robinson shared details about his health journey, including his kidneys failing in 2018 and being advised to start dialysis immediately. Despite the hardships, Robinson persevered and eventually found a kidney donor for the transplant.
Throughout his health ordeal, Robinson remained resilient and grateful for the support and love he received from his loved ones and followers. As he continues his recovery post-transplant, Robinson looks forward to a brighter future with his health restored.
