Approaching Weekend Storm

A cold front is expected to pass through today, bringing gusty winds and colder temperatures later in the afternoon. Dry weather is projected for tomorrow, but a storm is anticipated to hit late evening through early Sunday morning. The storm is predicted to bring 5-9 inches of snow. Sunday evening is expected to clear up, just in time for game time parties. Two more storm systems are expected to affect the area next week. Early this morning, icy surfaces were reported inland with mostly cloudy skies and possible fog patches and rain or snow showers. Temperatures are ranging from the lower to middle 30s. Throughout the day today, winds are expected to pick up with a mix of sun and clouds, isolated rain or snow showers, and temperatures in the 30s. Tonight, a few clouds may pass by with icy patches forming and temperatures dropping to 17-22 degrees. Tomorrow will see increasing cloudiness with snow expected to arrive late in the evening and heavier overnight. Sunday will bring snow accumulations of 5-9 inches, followed by clearing in the afternoon. Monday and Tuesday will see cloudy skies with snow arriving Tuesday evening through Wednesday, continuing into Thursday afternoon. Highs throughout the week will be in the lower 30s.
