A fire at a Multifamily home on Sterling Street in Hartford early Tuesday morning is currently under investigation, according to Hartford Fire Chief Mario Oquendo Jr. Firefighters responded to the report of a fire around 1:52 a.m. and found a heavy fire in a detached garage that extended to the multifamily home. Fortunately, the fire was extinguished with no reported injuries. No relocations were necessary as a result of the fire. This incident follows another recent apartment fire on Cameo Drive in Willimantic, where no injuries were also reported. The cause of the fire on Sterling Street is currently being investigated by authorities. Residents are reminded to always have working smoke detectors in their homes and to follow safety precautions to prevent such incidents.
