Governor Kevin Stitt has proclaimed February as Career and Technical Education Month in Oklahoma, recognizing the important role that CareerTech programs like Meridian Technology Center play in preparing students for high-demand careers. With hands-on training and real-world experience, Meridian has been empowering students since 1974, connecting education to opportunity. In fiscal year 2024, the CareerTech system served over 520,000 learners statewide, with more than 44 percent of high school students enrolled in at least one CareerTech class. Through partnerships with local businesses and educational institutions, CareerTech equips students with industry-relevant skills and provides employers with a skilled workforce. Meridian is investing in the future of education and workforce development with innovative training opportunities and state-of-the-art technology. The community is invited to celebrate Career and Technical Education Month with Meridian Technology Center in February.
