The UConn women’s tennis team is gearing up to face Fairfield University in their upcoming home match at Magic Lincer Tennis in Manchester. The match, scheduled for 1pm, marks the beginning of the Championship portion of their schedule.
Having achieved individual success in the Fall semester, the Huskies are looking to leverage their strong performance into team success. Seniors Olivia Wright and Isabel Petri Bere are leading the charge and hoping to push UConn tennis to new heights.
Both UConn and Fairfield participated in the Quinnipiac Invitational in the fall, giving them some familiarity with each other. Fairfield, with an 0-2 record, suffered losses against St. Johns (1-4) and LIU (2-5) in their season opener on Jan. 24-25.
The Huskies are eager to continue their winning ways and come out on top in this upcoming match. With a challenging schedule ahead, they are preparing to face off against tough competition and make a statement in the league.
