Fourteen-year-old Chloe Ramsubhag touched the lives of many in Waterbury before tragically being killed in a car crash in Shelton earlier this month. Friends and family gathered for a moving candlelight vigil in her honor, remembering her as a happy and kind person who always tried to be the best version of herself.
Chloe was a beloved member of the Wilby High School volleyball team, with her teammates showing up to the vigil wearing pink, her favorite color. Her father, who was also in the car during the crash and is recovering in the hospital, expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support for Chloe.
The community is urging drivers to be responsible on the road to prevent such senseless tragedies from happening in the future. Chloe’s friends and teammates plan to dedicate next year’s volleyball season to her memory, believing that she is watching over them from above.
