Statewide Winter Storm Warning Issued for Sunday Afternoon and Night!

Get ready for the first major snowstorm of the season as forecasters predict 4-8 inches of snow for most of the region starting Sunday afternoon and continuing through Sunday night. The storm will be followed by bitterly cold temperatures, with highs in the low 20s and teens mid-week and wind chills making it feel like subzero temperatures.

The forecast for Sunday includes snow arriving early to mid-afternoon, starting as a wintry mix in some areas, with the possibility of 8+ inches of snow in higher elevations. Martin Luther King Jr. Day will see increasing sunshine but windy and very cold conditions, with high temperatures only reaching 20-25 degrees. Tuesday and Wednesday will be bright but bitterly cold, with highs in the teens and 20s and overnight lows near zero.

Despite the snowy conditions, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will see a mix of clouds and sun, with temperatures in the mid to upper 20s and low to mid 30s. Stay tuned for further updates as the storm approaches.
