No. 9 Connecticut bounced back from a conference loss to beat Georgetown 68-60, led by Alex Karaban’s 19 points. The Huskies have not lost back-to-back league games since January 2023. Curtis Williams Jr. had 15 points for the Hoyas, who have lost 20 straight games against ranked teams. UConn led 36-31 at halftime and opened the second half with a 17-2 run. Freshman Liam McNeeley missed the game with an ankle injury. UConn has won all nine meetings with Georgetown since rejoining the Big East.

Connecticut’s win was a mature performance, smothering Georgetown’s young roster. Georgetown guard Jayden Epps returned after a lower-body injury. A key moment was Hassan Diarra’s steal leading to a layup. Karaban has averaged 23.3 points in three games against Georgetown. Connecticut faces Creighton next, while Georgetown will visit St. John’s. UConn continues to impress, winning nine of their last 10 games since November. Georgetown will need to regroup after this loss and prepare for their upcoming game against St. John’s.
