The No. 7 UConn women’s basketball team is set to face Georgetown in Washington, D.C. on Saturday. UConn is coming off a dominant win against Xavier, led by graduate student Azzi Fudd’s 23 points. The Huskies have a strong history against Georgetown, with a 55-6 all-time record and a 38-game winning streak.
Fudd, a native of Arlington, Va., has family ties to Georgetown, adding an extra element to the matchup. UConn previously defeated Georgetown in December, with redshirt senior Paige Bueckers scoring 24 points.
Georgetown, coached by Darnell Haney, is led by Kelsey Ransom who averages 20.6 points per game. The team recently fell to Villanova.
