NFL Playoff Game Moved: Rams-Vikings Matchup Relocated – NBC Connecticut

The Los Angeles Rams’ wild card playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings will not take place in California as originally planned. Due to raging wildfires in the surrounding areas, the NFL announced that the game will be relocated to State Farm Stadium in Arizona, home of the Cardinals. This is the first time in NFL history that a playoff game has been moved due to external circumstances. The game is still scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. ET on Monday.

Wildfires in Inglewood, Calif., where SoFi Stadium is located, have severely impacted the area, leading to the decision to move the game. Despite previous incidents of games being postponed or delayed due to weather conditions, this is the first instance of a playoff game being relocated.

Fans can now look forward to a unique playoff atmosphere in Arizona as the Rams take on the Vikings in a game that promises to be as exciting as it is unprecedented. Stay tuned for more news and predictions ahead of the NFL’s Wild Card Weekend.
