Police have apprehended a suspect in the killing of a former Connecticut man who was allegedly involved in a $1 million DoorDash scheme. The victim, identified as 68-year-old Michael Fishman, was found dead in his home in Stamford, Connecticut last month. Authorities believe that the suspect, 33-year-old Brandon Laws, is responsible for Fishman’s murder.
Fishman was allegedly involved in a fraudulent scheme where he manipulated the DoorDash app to receive undeserved payouts totaling $1 million. It is believed that Laws, who had previously worked for Fishman, may have been seeking retaliation for his involvement in the scam.
Authorities were able to track down Laws using surveillance footage and witness statements, leading to his arrest in New Jersey. He now faces charges of murder and is awaiting extradition to Connecticut.
The community is shocked by the news of Fishman’s murder and the alleged connection to the DoorDash scheme. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are continuing to piece together the events leading up to Fishman’s tragic death.
