Sony made a splash at CES 2025 with a focus on entertainment and technological innovation. The company unveiled new details about the Afeela 1, a smart car equipped with sensors and cameras that can avoid traffic accidents. The vehicle will feature an artificial intelligence called Personal Agent and will be priced between $89,900 and $102,900.
In terms of entertainment, Sony announced collaborations with Crunchyroll and PlayStation Productions to bring anime, series, and movies to viewers. Aniplex and Crunchyroll presidents revealed new projects such as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle and Solo Leveling: Arise from the Shadow. Adaptations of PlayStation IPs like Ghost of Tsushima Legends, Helldivers, and Horizon Zero Dawn were also announced.
Jonny Slow of Pixomondo showcased the Pixo Akira technology for film production, while Thaisa Yamamura introduced the XYN Virtual Reality Division for creating mixed reality content for video games, metaverse, and cinema.
The event also featured Neil Druckmann presenting the trailer for The Last of Us Season 2 and announcing a premiere date for the series.
