Murdoch opened the scoring in the first period, but Vermont quickly responded to take a 2-1 lead. UConn dominated possession in the second period, outshooting the Catamounts. In the third period, junior defender Meghane Duchesne-Chalifoux tied the game before Murdoch sealed the win with her second goal, bringing her season total to nine.

The Huskies will face the Maine Black Bears on Friday, January 17 at 6:00pm in their next game at Storrs.
