The No. 7 UConn women’s basketball team secured a victory against Marquette with four players scoring in double digits, including freshman Sarah Strong leading with 15 points and seven rebounds. Sophomore KK Arnold scored a season-high 13 points and tied her career high with seven assists. Redshirt senior Paige Bueckers and redshirt freshman Jana El Alfy also contributed double-digit points. UConn capitalized on fastbreak points and points off turnovers, assisting on 22 of 28 made field goals. Freshman Allie Ziebell scored the last five points of the game. The Golden Eagles were limited to eight points in the second and fourth quarters. The Huskies will face Villanova this Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in their next game, which will be broadcast on SNY.
