The No. 11 UConn men’s basketball team is riding a six-game winning streak as they head to Chicago to face DePaul on New Year’s Day. UConn is off to a 2-0 start in league play and completed a perfect December. In their last game, UConn secured a close victory over Butler, led by Alex Karaban’s 21 points. Karaban is the team’s leading scorer this season, averaging 16.5 points per game. Liam McNeeley and Hassan Diarra have also been key contributors for the Huskies.
DePaul, under first-year head coach Chris Holtmann, has shown improvement with a 9-4 record and a strong offensive presence led by Jacob Meyer and Isaiah Rivera. The Blue Demons are known for their scoring ability, averaging 80.1 points per game.
