A tragic accident in West Haven, Connecticut, resulted in the death of a pedestrian who was struck by a motorcycle while crossing the street on Sunday night. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. at 277 Campbell Ave. The pedestrian was identified as 47-year-old Jaymie Marazzi Taylor of West Haven and was taken to a local hospital where she later passed away from her injuries. The motorcycle driver also sustained injuries and remains in critical condition as of Monday morning. The motorcycle was traveling northbound on Campbell Avenue when it struck the pedestrian, causing the driver to lose control and crash. Campbell Avenue was closed for six hours as authorities investigated the accident. The West Haven Police Major Accident Squad is conducting an investigation into the incident. This tragic event serves as a reminder for both pedestrians and motorists to exercise caution and obey traffic laws to prevent such accidents from occurring in the future.
