Police seek driver responsible for injuring two people during street takeover in North Haven

Police in North Haven, Connecticut are on the hunt for a driver who injured two pedestrians during an early Saturday morning street takeover near the I-91 North off ramps by Montowese Avenue. The incident occurred just after 2:00 a.m. and, despite the cars fleeing when police arrived, no injured individuals were found at the scene. However, later in the morning, two men in their 20s were admitted to a local hospital with injuries sustained during the incident.

Authorities have obtained video footage of the incident showing a white 2016 Dodge Charger sedan with a black hood striking the two individuals. Police are urging anyone with information regarding the vehicle or the investigation to contact Detective Laukaitis at (203) 239-5321 extension 294. All callers can remain anonymous.

The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of illegal street takeovers and the importance of holding those responsible accountable for their actions.
