1 person killed, 3 others seriously injured in Waterbury multi-car collision – NBC Connecticut


A tragic multi-car crash in Waterbury early Sunday morning has left one person dead and three others seriously injured. The incident, which occurred on Baldwin Street around 3:15 a.m., involved a 2013 Dodge Dart, a 2018 Ford EcoSport, and a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The driver of the Dodge Dart, a 47-year-old man from New Haven, and a passenger identified as 46-year-old Andrea Sherman from Waterbury, were among those involved in the crash. Sherman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver and passenger of the Ford EcoSport, two 22-year-old males from Waterbury, sustained serious injuries.

Two additional individuals who were in the Jeep Grand Cherokee fled the scene before police arrived and have not been located or identified as of yet. The crash also caused damage to a nearby grocery store, though the building was deemed safe by inspectors.

The police department’s crash reconstruction team is currently investigating the incident and anyone with information is urged to contact authorities.
