Connecticut State Police released the Christmas holiday statistics for the period from Monday, Dec. 23, to Wednesday, Dec. 26. During this time, 15 people were arrested on DUI charges. Additionally, police received approximately 1,632 calls for service, made a total of 168 traffic stops, and responded to 150 crashes. Out of the reported crashes, 14 resulted in injuries, but fortunately there were no fatal injuries. Furthermore, around 164 traffic services were called upon during this time.
In other news, police are also investigating a string of ATM thefts in Hartford County.
With the holiday season in full swing, the Connecticut State Police aim to ensure the safety and security of residents and visitors. As the year comes to a close, authorities will continue to work diligently to maintain peace and order through the remainder of the holiday season and into the new year.
