A man in Utah is believed to have shot and killed his family, including three children, before taking his own life. A 17-year-old boy survived the shooting, but remains in critical condition after being shot in the head. The father, mother, 11-year-old son, and two daughters aged 2 and 9 were found dead in their home in West Valley City. The shootings are believed to have occurred over the weekend. The father’s body was found with a handgun beneath it, leading police to believe he was responsible for the deaths. The 17-year-old survivor suffered a severe brain injury and is unable to communicate with authorities. There was no history of domestic violence at the home and no note left behind to explain the tragedy. Investigators are still working to determine a motive for the shootings. A concerned family member discovered the scene after a break in communication with the family.
