Despite facing adversity in conference play, including injuries to key players, the Huskies rallied together with balanced contributions from veterans and newcomers alike. The team’s resilience and teamwork were on full display as they earned a third seed in the BIG EAST Tournament, exceeding preseason predictions and earning recognition for their outstanding performances.
Although their conference tournament run ended in a hard-fought match against Villanova, UConn received a bid to the National Invitational Volleyball Championship, where they advanced to the Super 16 before ultimately falling to St. John’s. The season was a testament to the team’s growth and determination, culminating in a successful campaign that showcased their potential and set the stage for future success.
After decades of moving around the Storrs campus, the 2024 season solidified the UConn Volleyball Center as the team’s true home. With exciting prospects and a resilient spirit, the Huskies are poised for continued success in the seasons to come. Coach Ellen Herman-Kimball and her coaching staff received accolades for their leadership, signaling a bright future for UConn volleyball.
