Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at The Anthem in Square 10 in New Haven

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held in New Haven for the completion of a phase of a major redevelopment project at the former New Haven Veterans Memorial Coliseum site. The Anthem at Square 10 is a residential and retail space that is part of a $76 million project to transform the area. The project includes a 200-unit residential building, public open space, and retail space with popular businesses like Elm City Market, The Melting Pot, and Common Grounds. About 30 units have been rented out so far, with 40 set to be affordable housing units. The next phases of the project will include additional apartments, a parking garage, and a med/lab building with a ground-floor restaurant. The hope is to bring new commercial and residential spaces to New Haven, serving as a connecting point to other neighborhoods. The city anticipates the med/lab building groundbreaking to take place in 2025. Alder Carmen Rodriguez noted that the project is stitching neighborhoods back together and creating a transformative neighborhood in New Haven.
