UConn women’s basketball player Paige Bueckers has been named the BIG EAST Player of the Week for her outstanding performances in two recent games. Bueckers averaged 24.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game while shooting an impressive 61.1 percent. She scored 25 points against No. 8 Notre Dame and 24 points in the Huskies’ BIG EAST opener vs. Georgetown.
Bueckers currently leads UConn with 20.0 points per game, 42 assists, and 23 steals this season. This marks the third time she has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week this season. The Huskies are set to face off against No. 18 Iowa State in the Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase at Mohegan Sun on Tuesday night, with the game airing on FS1 at 8:30 p.m.
