Double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu is set to start a new chapter in her life as she prepares to tie the knot with Venkata Datta Sai on December 22 in Udaipur. The announcement of Sindhu’s wedding, coming on the heels of her win at the Syed Modi International, has sparked excitement among fans and well-wishers. The wedding festivities are slated to begin on December 20, with a grand reception to follow in Hyderabad on December 24.
Having played a pivotal role in putting Indian badminton on the global map, Sindhu’s successful career highlights include silver and bronze medals at the 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Olympics, as well as gold medals at the World Championships and Commonwealth Games. The upcoming wedding promises to be a star-studded affair, with celebrities and top sporting personalities expected to attend.
With less than two weeks to go, Sindhu has already kicked off the invitation process by personally inviting cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.
