Police are on the hunt for a person of interest in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, who was shot in midtown Manhattan on his way to an investor meeting. Surveillance footage shows the suspect taking a cab from the Upper West Side to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, leading authorities to believe he left New York City shortly after the slaying. NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch revealed that an extensive amount of evidence has been collected, including DNA, fingerprints, and surveillance footage tracking the suspect’s movements. The suspect was last seen riding a bike through Central Park before taking a taxi to the bus terminal. Law enforcement sources believe the suspect traveled from Atlanta to New York on a Greyhound bus days before the shooting. With a vast network of surveillance cameras in New York, police are hopeful that the suspect’s trail can be traced and urge the public to assist in identifying him as the investigation progresses.
