The UConn men’s and women’s track & field teams are set to start their 2024-2025 season with the UConn Husky Challenge at the Hugh Greer Field House in Storrs. Both teams are coming off their third consecutive indoor/outdoor championship sweep of the BIG EAST, with the men winning their 22nd conference championship and the women their 12th. The meet will feature student-athletes from UMass, AIC, Yale, and Northeastern over two days, starting with multi-events on Thursday and field events and track events on Friday.
Director of Track & Field Beth Alford-Sullivan expressed excitement for the upcoming competition and is looking forward to seeing the Big East championship teams in action again. The meet will showcase events such as high jump, weight throw, long jump, pole vault, shot put, triple jump, hurdles, dashes, and relay races.
