Three Huskies Recognized as All-New England


The UConn football team had three members selected to the 2024 New England Football Writers Association All-New England team. Senior offensive tackle Chase Lundt, senior linebacker Tui Faumuina-Brown, and grad student kicker Chris Freeman were recognized for their outstanding performances. Lundt has been a consistent presence on the offensive line, with 48 career starts and helping lead a strong rushing attack. Faumuina-Brown led the UConn defense with impressive stats, ranking nationally in tackles and sacks. Freeman made a significant impact as the team’s leading scorer, converting all extra points and field goals, including two 53-yarders.

The trio will be among 37 New England all-stars from 16 FBS and FCS schools honored at the upcoming New England Football Writers Captains and Awards Banquet. This year’s team showcases the talent and hard work of players across the region.
