The UConn women’s basketball team is set to take on Ole Miss for the Baha Mar Women’s Championship title. The game will be live streamed on FloCollege and available on the UConn Sports Network from Learfield. Paige Bueckers led UConn to a victory over Oregon State in the semifinals with 23 points and six assists, while freshman Sarah Strong added 13 points, eight rebounds, and six steals.
UConn and Ole Miss have only met once before in 2018 at the Paradise Jam. Ole Miss advanced to the championship game by defeating Boston College with four players averaging double-digit points, led by KK Deans with 13.2 points per game. Head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin is in her seventh season at Ole Miss.
The Baha Mar Women’s Championship title game promises to be an exciting matchup between two talented teams. UConn, currently ranked second in the nation, will look to continue their undefeated streak and claim the championship title against the 18th ranked Ole Miss.
