Person Escapes Roller Coaster After Safety Bar Unlatches – NBC Connecticut

An Arizona man had a terrifying experience at Castles N’ Coasters in Phoenix when the safety bar on a roller coaster he was riding suddenly became unlatched. The man decided to climb out of the moving coaster and onto a catwalk, capturing the dramatic escape on video. He recounted how the safety bar released just as the ride began and how the operator failed to notice or take action until he was already off the ride. The man expressed frustration with the park’s negligence and lack of proper safety checks, calling for stricter regulations on amusement parks. While Arizona does not regulate its amusement parks, state law requires private insurance companies to inspect rides annually. The man filed an incident report with the park but did not receive a copy. Castles N’ Coasters has not yet commented on the incident. The man stressed the need for better safety regulations in amusement parks to prevent similar incidents in the future.
