Hallmark and NFL team up for new movie “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story”
A new Hallmark movie, “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story,” is set to air on Saturday, featuring a Kansas City Chiefs-themed romance. The film, inspired by the high-profile romance between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, includes NFL tie-ins with cameos from Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and players like Trey Smith and Mecole Hardman Jr.
The movie follows Alana, a Chiefs megafan, and Derrick, the team’s director of fan engagement, as they navigate a “Fan of the Year” contest. The film was shot in part at the Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium.
The release of the movie comes as Hallmark and the NFL look to expand their audiences, with a focus on attracting fans of both sports and romantic comedies. Donna Kelce, Travis Kelce’s mother, also makes an appearance in the film, marking her foray into acting. Prior to this movie, she will also be appearing in another Hallmark film set in Philadelphia.
The movie aims to celebrate love and togetherness, drawing in fans of the Chiefs, Swift, and Kelce’s love story.
