News 8 is teaming up with Connecticut Foodshare for the Gr8 Thanksgiving Food Drive on Nov. 23. Supporters can drop off frozen turkeys and nonperishable foods at 2 Research Parkway in Wallingford between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The News 8 team will be present to assist with unloading donations. Those unable to attend the event can make a monetary donation on Connecticut Foodshare’s website.
This annual event aims to support families in need during the holiday season and ensure that everyone has a warm meal to enjoy on Thanksgiving. With the help of generous donors and volunteers, Connecticut Foodshare is able to make a significant impact in the community by providing nutritious food to those facing food insecurity.
