Sara Kulig has been appointed as the interim principal of Ivy Drive School in Bristol following allegations of “state testing irregularities” at the school. The previous principal has been placed on administrative leave amidst an ongoing investigation.
The Connecticut Department of Education is currently in the preliminary stages of reviewing information related to the alleged testing irregularities, with further action to be taken if necessary. Kulig, who has been a math coach for kindergarten through grade 5 since 2019, will assume her role as interim principal on Friday.
Kulig has a wealth of experience in education, having supported various schools in the district and implemented curriculum planning and coaching cycles. She has also worked as a teacher in different grade levels and programs, showcasing a strong commitment to student success.
