The Huskies dominated the match with a 21-4 shot advantage and graduate student Kaitlyn Mahoney earned her 25th career shutout without facing a single shot on goal. Senior Maddie Fried led the team with six total shots, while the defense secured its eighth shutout of the season. This victory marks the 10th win of the season for the Huskies, the first time they have reached double digits since 2016.
The team now awaits the final match day results to determine their opponent in the BIG EAST Quarterfinals, with potential matches against Creighton or Butler. The Quarterfinal match is scheduled for Sunday, November 3rd. This win continues a successful season for the Huskies, who are aiming for another deep run in the postseason tournament.
