Hamden native and Olympic gold medalist Alexis Holmes will be speaking at Southern Connecticut State University on Wednesday in a moderated conversation at the John Lyman Center for the Performing Arts. Holmes will discuss her journey from local track star to Olympic champion, highlighting her recent gold medal win at the Paris 2024 Olympics with Team USA’s women’s 4×400-meter relay team.
In addition to the public event, Holmes will also meet with SCSU student-athletes and athletes from the community during a private meet and greet. The student meet and greet will start at 6 p.m. in the Kendall Drama Lab, followed by the public event at 7 p.m.
Tickets for the event are available for purchase, with VIP tickets priced at $50 (including post-show photo opportunities), regular seating at $20, students and high school students at $10, and children under 14 at $5.
