Oxford family refuses to let flood damage stop their Halloween display

The town of Oxford, Connecticut, remains strong in the aftermath of historic flooding that devastated parts of the state two months ago. Despite facing significant damage to their home, one family in Oxford, the Annuzzi family, decided to carry on with their annual Halloween display to give back to the community in a big way.

The Annuzzi’s Halloween display features various sections that cater to different interests of the three Annuzzi children, as well as other visitors. Despite the challenges they faced due to the flooding, the family was motivated to continue with their Halloween display after receiving support from the Seymour Oxford Food Bank.

The Annuzzi family has collected over 100 pounds of nonperishable food items, which they plan to deliver to the food bank the day after Halloween. The display has garnered admiration from visitors for its professional quality and the family’s dedication to giving back.

The community’s support has not only helped the Annuzzi family rebuild their home but has also enabled them to make a positive impact on those in need during challenging times. The display, located at 749 Oxford Rd., is open to all residents who dare to be scared and want to show support for the family’s efforts to give back to the community.
