Several Connecticut cities and towns, including Middlesex County, experienced 911 line issues on Wednesday morning. The regional dispatch center reported that the 911 lines were down, following a similar outage in other areas on Tuesday afternoon. The outage affected locations such as Branford, Danbury, East Lyme, Groton, Hamden, Hartford, New Haven, Wallingford, West Hartford, Westport, Woodbridge, Litchfield County dispatch, Connecticut State Police Troop B in North Canaan, the state’s separate line, and the University of Connecticut. The outage was reportedly due to an “equipment failure,” though the exact cause has yet to be determined.
