Man Wanted in Massachusetts on Multiple Charges Found Hiding in Connecticut Campsite
A 40-year-old man wanted in Massachusetts on various charges including child pornography and assault has been found by U.S. Marshals at a secluded campsite in Woodstock, Connecticut. The man had been on the run for months, evading authorities in Franklin and New Bedford, Massachusetts.
The charges against the man include child pornography, photographing intimate parts of a child, intimidation of a witness, reckless endangerment of a child, threatening, obscene matter to a minor, assault and battery. U.S. Marshals located him at the campsite in Connecticut where he was believed to be hiding out.
Connecticut State Police have taken the man into custody as a fugitive from justice. He will likely be extradited back to Massachusetts to face the charges against him there. The arrest comes after an extensive search for the man, who had managed to elude law enforcement for an extended period of time.
The coordination between multiple agencies, including the U.S. Marshals and Connecticut State Police, led to the successful capture of the wanted man.
