Wallingford Police Arrest Suspect in Domestic Violence Incident
On Friday, the Wallingford Police Department successfully executed an arrest warrant for Thad Stanley, 35, of New Haven, in connection to a domestic violence incident that occurred last month. The incident involved a woman who sustained visible injuries and was treated at a local hospital.
After fleeing the scene on September 20, Stanley was located through surveillance efforts by the Community Impact Unit, Patrol Division, and the FBI Violent Task Force in the area of 331 South Elm St. Despite hours of negotiation, Stanley was taken into custody at 12:40 p.m.
Stanley is facing charges of disorderly conduct, assault in the 3rd degree, threatening in the 2nd degree, strangulation/suffocation in the 1st degree, and violation of Connecticut General Statutes. His bond has been set at $200,000, and he is scheduled to appear at the Meriden Superior Court on Monday at 9:00 a.m.
